Officer Grabs Man Just As He Goes To Jump In Suicide Attempt (VIDEO)

There wasn't suppose to be anything special to deal with when Sgt. Steven Griswold of the Kansas City P.D received a call regarding a broken down vehicle on the ramp from Interstate 49 to Interstate 470.
Simply arrive, see if the person had help on the way, maybe wait for the tow truck with them,, typical $hit.
However as any seasoned officer would probably tell you, nothing is automatically routine in that line of work.
Sgt. Griswold would find that out immediately upon arrival as he would see a man perched and ready to take a leap from the 60ft overpass.
He told KMBC"I was going to go up and say, 'Hey man, what's going on? Let's get off this bridge and talk.' But he didn't give me a chance to do that. "I guess I was in the right place at the right time. I jumped over there, grabbed him the legs and pulled him back over."
Police said the man who tried to jump was taken to a hospital for mental health treatment. His rescue was captured by a police dashboard camera.
