Buju Banton To Release New Album in 2014 . Majority Of The Tracks Recorded While Buju Was Out On Bail

new album from Buju Banton is scheduled for release in the summer of 2014.
Banton is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence in the United States for drug trafficking.
Tracii McGregor, a member of the singjay's management, says most of the tracks on the yet-tobe- titled album were recorded while he was out on bail in 2011. According to McGregor, "Buju is very involved in the process, of course. He is just as focused and detailoriented as he ever was.
The album is incredibly inspiring." Among the producers who worked on the set are Blacker Dread (who produced the song Innocent from Banton’s last studio album), Stephen Marley and Banton himself.
Before The Dawn, his last album, was released in 2010, the year Banton was arrested by Federal agents in Florida for attempting to sell cocaine.
Before The Dawn won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2011. The pending album will be his 11th studio effort. His discography is an impressive one; it includes albums such as Mr Mention, Inna Heights (his sole number one on Billboard’s Reggae Album Chart), the groundbreaking '
Til Shiloh, Friends For Life and Unchained Spirit. Released in 1995, 'Til Shiloh is the jewel in the Buju Banton crown. It marked his conversion to Rastafari and included empowering songs like Untold Stories, Not An Easy Road and Til I'm Laid to Rest.
