Rapper Bobby Shmurda was sentenced Friday to up to four years in prison for carrying a “shiv” in Rikers Island — but it was a slap on the wrist since he’ll serve the time during his seven-year stint for gun possession.
The Brooklyn native, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, appeared in Bronx Supreme Court with his feet and hands shackled.
When Judge Marc Whiten asked Pollard if he had anything to say, the rapper mumbled, “No, sir.” He held his head down as he left the courtroom.
“Mr. Pollard has now resolved all his legal issues,” said his lawyer, Paul London.
The rapper, 22, was caught with the makeshift knife after a woman slipped it to him during a jail visit in 2015. London said she was “a fan” his client had never met.
