Cops Shot an Innocent Man Because they Feared for their Lives as he Filmed Them ???

Rancho Cordova, CA – A bystander recording a police raid at his neighbor’s house was shot this weekend as he leaned out of his house to see what was going on outside. Police were called to Negrara Way because a man who lived there named Ben Ledford reportedly fired multiple rounds from his house, shooting and killing a dog across the street.
When police were arriving on the scene, Danny Sanchez stepped out of his garage to see what was happening. As he came out with a cell phone recording, he was shot by police as soon as police saw him.
John Sanchez told KCRA that his son was shot in their garage, and showed them the bullet holes that went through his wall and his car.
“He was right here, and I think he stepped out to look, and that’s when he got shot. They went right through the paneling and hit my car and they kept going and went out the other side of the wall. They told him they were sorry that he got shot and everything, that they made a mistake,” Sanchez said.
“Shooting at my son with a cell phone, it’s ridiculous,” he added.
Police said that while the shooting was a mistake, it was actually intentional on the part of the officers, who determined that Sanchez was a threat to them, even though he was just an innocent bystander.
“It took us some time to figure out exactly who had what role in this incident,” Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Ramos explained.
“He found himself in the midst of things and some of his actions were perceived to be threatening to law-enforcement officers,” Ramos said.
Meanwhile, the suspect next door surrendered as soon as police got there, meaning that he was possibly already in custody when Sanchez was shot. It was stated in a news broadcast from KCRA that the shooting occurred just as the suspect was being apprehended on the other side of the street.
To add insult to injury, the Sanchez family had their home searched by police after the incident, and luckily their search turned up empty-handed.
