'Straight Outta Compton' Has The LAPD On Edge "It's A Terrible Time To Release A Movie Like This"

DETAILS INSIDE

While Dr. Dre and Ice Cube toast to the opening weekend success of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, members of the Los Angeles Police Department are feeling anxious and angry.
TMZ reports that officers feel like the movie portrays them as "beating machines."
The timing of the film's release comes at a time when tensions between the police and citizens of the inner city are high.
"It's a terrible time to release a movie like this. It adds fuel to the fire for hating cops," former L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine, told TMZ.
Cops are putting the blame squarely on the shoulders of Universal. They believe the company is placing money over the safety of the men in blue.
What's your take? Are cops overreacting or should Universal have waited to release Straight Outta Compton?
