Suge Knight and his lawyer got some bad information about a possible release from jail for the former Death Row Records co-owner.
Matthew Fletcher, Knight’s attorney, told The Los Angeles Times that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would pay his client's $10 million bail if he wins his May 2nd fight against Manny Pacquiao.
“They’re good friends. That’s one of his wealthiest friends," Fletcher said. “Suge said, ‘Man, I was really going to pull for him to win, but now I’m going to have to pray for him to win.’”
When reached by TMZ Sports, a source close to Mayweather denied the story. The source said that the boxer and Knight were close in the past, but haven't spoken in years.
Knight is facing murder and attempted murder charges for a fatal hit and run that killed 55-year old Terry Carter and injured Cle "Bone" Slone, 51.
