Jimmy Henchman Talks Bobby Shmurda Arrest “Hip Hop Is Under Attack”
After Bobby Shmurda's lawyer declared that "the
government hates rap," incarcerated music executive/drug
ring leader Jimmy Henchman weighed in on the matter,
pointing to a war on hip-hop. Shmurda and his GS9 crew
were arrested at Quad City Studios in New York City last
week, as part of a 100-count indictment involving
shootings, drug trafficking, assault, consipracy and murder
charges.
"With everything happening with Bobby Shmurda there's a
need for a rap expert on deck, because the culture is under
attack," Henchman said in a statement. "If they can use 50's
lyrics against me as an executive to prove murder then we
all in trouble."
Earlier this month, Henchman was found guilty for
orchestrating the murder of G-Unit affiliate, Lowell "Lodi
Mack" Fletcher, who was killed in retaliation for G-Unit's
Tony Yayo slapping his son.
Apparently, they used lyrics from 50 Cent to help convict
the former hip-hop executive. Fif previously addressed the incident on the 2014 song "Hold On," off his Animal
Ambition album.
