Chicago rapper Lil Durk is facing gun possession charges following his arrest on Wednesday, November 5.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Durk, real name Durk Banks, was popped when Chicago gang officers went to a home investigating a homicide.
After being let in by a woman police spotted Durk standing next to a table with two guns in plain sight. The 22-year old told them he needed them for protection.
"I got those pipes (guns) 'cause (expletive) always be tryin' to take my bands (money)," Banks said, according to the police report.
After seizing a Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds, police placed the "Dis Ain't What U Want" hit maker under arrest.
He's been charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. It's his third arrest for gun possession since 2011.
Durk responded to his latest run in with the law via Twitter.
Durk is expected in court on Thursday, November 6th.
