Anwan Glover, the actor who played gang member Slim
Charles in the HBO series "The Wire," has been treated
for a laceration after he was reportedly stabbed and kicked
in a D.C. nightclub early Sunday.
The incident was one of three reports of violence in local

one at the Red Lounge, both in Northwest D.C.
Metropolitan Police say there is no reason at this time to
believe the attacks were related.
Glover told investigators he was at Café Asia early Sunday
when an unknown person punched him and another person
hit him on the head. Glover told police he was then kicked
repeatedly and felt sharp pain in his side.

Monday the establishment would be closed for the next for
96 hours . Authorities say Glover was treated for a
laceration to the torso at GeorgeWashingtonUniversityHospital. His condition wasn't
immediately known.

and most recently appeared in the Oscar-winning movie
"12 Years a Slave." Glover also had a role in the first season
of the HBO series "Treme". He is also known as Big G,
