38-year-old Eric Johnson of Orinda, California was shot 5 times and killed backstage at Wiz Khalifa's Under the Influence of Music tour stop in Mountain View on Friday, August 22nd.
Police launched an investigation into the shooting over the weekend. They searchedThe Snowman's bus on Sunday at the last stop on the tour in Irvine, California. Jeezy is one of the acts on the trek.
"The investigation in Mountain View led to our detectives developing enough information to write a search (warrant), which was executed on the group in Irvine," Mountain View police Sgt. Saul Jaeger told San Francisco Gate.
An assault rifle was found during the search. Jeezy, real name Jay Jenkins, was taken into custody and is being held on $1 million bail.
Five members of the rapper's entourage were also arrested, according to San Francisco Gate.
Kena Marshall, 39, Peter Maynard, 38, David Kuniansky-Altman, 31, William Gilmore, 48, and Alexa Beason, 52, were booked in the Orange County Jail.
Authorities haven't released any details into why they searched Jeezy's tour bus.
"This remains an active homicide investigation and detectives are aggressively following up on all leads," Jaeger said.
