Tyler Perry Hit With Federal Lawsuit, Military Base In Atlanta!
Another day, another lawsuit for Tyler Perry. This
time around, the director has been called out by a Georgia
entertainment company for unfairly working with
government officials to transform a former military base
into a studio for his company. The Associated Press reports
Ubiquitous Entertainment Studios filed the federal lawsuit
this week in U.S. District Court.
The company has also named the U.S. Army and a
government authority working to redevelop Fort McPherson
(a former Army base located south of downtown Atlanta)
as defendants. Ubiquitous says its CEO met with the
authority's chairman in December 2011 in hopes to create a
movie studio and entertainment complex at the site.
The company alleges Perry tried to persuade the authority
to negotiate a similar deal with his company instead. Perry
and his camp have yet to publicly respond to the lawsuit. In
the past, Perry has dealt with lawsuits for projects such as
Madea Gets A Job and Good Deeds.
