Teyana Taylor as Aaliyah!

As we all know by now, 17-year-old Disney actress

 Zendaya has nabbed the role of Aaliyah in the

 upcoming Lifetime biopic, one that 106 & Park actress 

Keshia Chante was lobbying for, amongst others. It

 looks as though that ‘others’ included Teyana Taylor,

 as her friend Tyrone has her audition tape to 

Instagram revealing what may have been.

“I know teyana is gona be mad at me for posting her

 audition clips but i honestly feel no one deserves this 

role more then her,” he said with the videos. “[Teyana] 

embraces Aaliyah dancing , acting and singing.

 (Which I’ll be posting all 3parts) but unfortunately

 Aaliyah’s family isn’t involved & she no longer wanted

 to be apart of the film.”

The latter part of the statement was announced

 yesterday in a new report, when Aaliyah’s uncle Barry

 Hankerson revealed they’re NOT on board with the

 Lifetime film and will be making attempts to block its

 release.

In the 3-part post, we watch as Teyana shows off her 

dancing skills with Aaliyah’s “Try Again” routine, her

 acting with a short monologue and her singing with

 Aaliyah’s “At Your Best.” It honestly gives me CHILLS

 how amazing she was at portraying the late singer!
