Ishiyah McGhee, 30 (pictured left), Janine McGhee, 39 (pictured center), and Moriyah McGhee, 32 (pictured right), are accused of attacking a 14-year-old girl in Deltona, Fla., and leaving her bloodied as a form of discipline for being suspended from school. The women are facing charges of child abuse for allegedly kicking and choking the teen girl and then forcing her to take her clothes off, according to theOrlando Sentinel.
The vicious attack took place on Friday and when the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene of the disturbance, the unnamed child was hysterically crying and wearing only her bra and panties.
The relationships of the women to the child have not been released.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the women had gone to the child’s school to attend a meeting about her behavior. As soon as the meeting let out, the trio and child headed towards the school’s parking lot where the alleged beatings began. The women reportedly began slapping the child, pushing her against a car, grabbing her necklace and choking her.
When the women and child arrived home, the girl reportedly jumped out of the car and made a run for it and the women chased after her. The trio caught the girl and allegedly dragged her back to the house by the hood of her sweatshirt. The police report states that Janine stepped up to the child and challenged her to a fight but she refused. The attackers then reportedly told the teen to remove her clothing so that “she could feel the discipline.”
According to the Sentinel, Brandon Haught, a spokesman for the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, said in his report about the case that “they then continuously kicked, punched and beat the victim with belts over her entire body until deputies arrived.”
When deputies entered the child’s household, they discovered two of the women still holding onto some belts and breathing heavily. Although investigators say that the eldest McGhee was involved in the beatings, she was not present at the home when deputies responded.
Meanwhile, the teen was treated at a hospital for multiple cuts and welts and was turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families.
