The charred remains of a 10-year-old girl were found in a trash can by Georgia police on Saturday, after it was pointed out to them by the girl’s father.
CNN reports that at approximately 3:40 a.m., Eman Moss called 911 and said he wanted to commit suicide. He then went on to tell the dispatcher that his daughter, who has been identified as Emani Moss, drank some sort of chemical and died.
When Gwinnett County officers arrived on the scene, they found Eman standing outside a building in an apartment complex. Officials say he then pointed them to a trash can in a recreation area where they found the charred remains of the 10-year-old child.
Eman Moss and Tiffany Moss, the slain girl’s step-mother, are now being charged with felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, and concealing a body.
