44 year old Christina West was just minding her business on the night of August 10 when officers attacked her.
Oh yeah, she was $hitfaced drunk and just crashed her vehicle into a house. So i guess her business became everyone else's when you consider that.
West was also a belligerent loudmouth when dealing with the Tallahassee police officers attempting to administer a sobriety test.
So did she deserve to be left with a face looking like that above??
That's why her attorney is fighting on her behalf by hitting the police department with a lawsuit that he believes the dashcam footage will help validate.
A dashboard camera inside a TPD vehicle captured the arrest on video, which was obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat. The video shows West’s head being slammed against a police car before she is taken forcefully to the ground.
“I was shocked to see this,” said her attorney, Fred Conrad of Tallahassee. “I would never have expected that out of my police department.
West suffered a broken orbital bone in her face as well as other injuries.
She was arrested on a charge of DUI and several counts of battery on a law-enforcement officer.
Check out the footage below and you can read more on the story HERE.
Now we head down to Harris County,Texas for part two of this story focusing on officers behaving badly and witness an even more shocking assault that dates back to 2011.
KHOUreports: Deputy Jimmy Drummond was caught on dash cam video brutalizing a family.
Drummond followed the son home because he said he was speeding. As other family members approached the scene, they were all beaten.
The son's ribs were broken and his father's face was bruised. The mother was dragged.
Deputy Drummond was charged with official oppression and is due in court on Friday.
"It was very disturbing that someone who weighs 400 pounds, and you can see him putting all his might into it, kicking him five times in the side, breaking his rib, his face was all messed up, then when he's handcuffed, he's got his face into the hot, hot pavement," Civil rights attorney Randall Kallinen told ABC 13. -----------------------
