In again denying bail for Vybz Kartel Friday afternoon the courtheld that the entertainer was a flight risk.
In opposing bail application the prosecution told the court that there are texts from Kartel before he was arrested, seeking assistance from another person to flee the island to Bahamas or Cuba.
"I have not been convinced that this accused is a fit and proper person for bail," Judge Bertram Morrison said.
Defence attorney Tom Tavares-Finson made the bail application in the Home Circuit court on behalf of Kartel in the case involving the murder of Clive Williams.
Kartel has been behind bars since his arrest in September 2011.c
