Busy Signal back in Jamaica after serving sentence



Dancehall entertainer Busy Signal who served his 6 month prison sentence in Minnesota, USA after pleading guilty to one count of failure to appear in court in relation to cocaine trafficking charges in 2002 is now back in the island.


A tweet on the artiste's Twitter page this evening confirmed that he is back in Jamaica, "@Busy Signal: Guess who is back! God is GOOD" and included a photograph of the artiste with fellow entertainer Elephant Man and a member of his management team.
The artiste whose given name is Glendale Gordon was handed a six month sentence, however he was behind bars for four months before his trial and he has been released from cusoty. Busy who fled from the USA in 2002 after being slapped with drug charges was extradited to the US on June 19.

As part of the extradition proceedings, Busy Signal only answered to the charge of absconding bail, however he was warned that should he fail to return to Jamaica within 45 -days, he could have been arrested on the drug charges.
