Police Officer Says That He Would Shoot First Lady Michelle Obama

A District of Columbia Police Officer is being investigated for an alleged threat toward First Lady Michelle Obama.  The officer allegedly stated that he would shoot Mrs. Obama, according to the Washington Post.  The officer’s threat is an especially strong concern, given that he has worked as a motorcycle escort for Mrs. Obama in the past.

Several officers overheard the officer’s remark during a conversation about threats against the Obama family.  The officer said that he would shoot the first lady and then used his phone to find a picture of the weapon he’d use to shoot her.

D.C. police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said this to the Washington Post: “We received an allegation that inappropriate comments were made. We are currently investigating the nature of those comments.”
